Flownto ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Aman Khan. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Flownto app at flownto.app.
By using Flownto, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information — Your name, email address, and profile photo when you sign in with Google.
- Flight data — Flight details you manually enter or import, including routes, dates, airlines, and seat numbers.
- Gmail data — When you choose to use Gmail import, we access your email messages solely to find and extract flight booking confirmations. We do not store your emails — only the extracted flight data is saved.
- Usage data — Basic app usage information to improve the service.
2. How We Use Gmail Data
Flownto's use of Gmail data is limited to the following:
- We request read-only access to your Gmail messages.
- We search your inbox for flight booking confirmation emails from airlines.
- We extract only flight details (routes, dates, airline, flight number) from those emails.
- We never read, store, or share any other emails.
- We never send emails on your behalf.
- We never sell or share your Gmail data with third parties.
- Gmail access is used exclusively to power the flight import feature.
Flownto's use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. How We Store Your Data
- Your flight data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore.
- Data is associated with your Google account and only accessible by you.
- We do not store your Gmail credentials or access tokens permanently.
- Gmail access tokens are used only during the import session and are not saved.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties except:
- Google Firebase — for secure data storage and authentication.
- Anthropic Claude AI — email text is sent to extract flight details. No personal identifiers are included beyond what is needed for extraction.
- Legal requirements — if required by law.
5. Data Retention
Your flight data is retained as long as you have an active account. You can delete your data at any time from the Profile page in the app. Upon account deletion, all your data is permanently removed.
6. Your Rights
- Access your personal data at any time in the app.
- Delete your account and all associated data.
- Revoke Gmail access at any time via your Google Account settings.
- Request a copy of your data by contacting us.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Firebase security rules ensure only you can access your flight data.
8. Children's Privacy
Flownto is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Flownto after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
